Abstract
Novel peptides displaying antimicrobial activity, and the compositions containing them. The filing comes out of the laboratory’s work on invertebrate innate immunity, where antimicrobial peptides are isolated and characterised for anti-bacterial use.

Context
Part of the laboratory’s long-standing invertebrate innate immunity line, alongside the leech extract application EP 2 488 216 and the antimicrobial–neurotrophic peptides patent US 8,173,768. The presence of Françoise Gaill, a specialist of deep-sea ecosystems, points towards peptides from annelids living in extreme environments.
Abstract as published
The present invention relates to novel peptides having antimicrobial activity, and compositions containing the same.
