Mélodie Anne Karnoub
Melodie Anne Karnoub is a neurosurgeon at Lille University Hospital, specializing in pediatric neurosurgery and pituitary disorders. She has been the head of the pediatric neurosurgery unit since December 2021, where she manages the care of children with brain tumors, congenital malformations, dysraphism, and sellar and parasellar conditions.
Trained in Rouen and later at Lille University Hospital, she holds a Master’s degree in Biology and Health, the Diploma of the European Society for Pediatric Neurosurgery (ESPN), and has been a member of the INSERM U1192 – PRISM research unit since 2016.
She is co‑author of around thirty scientific publications, focusing on spinal cord pathologies, the role of inflammation in spinal cord suffering in children with dysraphism, and pediatric tumors of the central nervous system.
She is also a member of the French Society of Pediatric Neurosurgery, and is deeply committed to teaching medical students, training neurosurgery residents, and contributing to continuing medical education for healthcare professionals.
